Did you ever notice that music television as well as music radio really suck? 'course I'm just referring to those TV and radio stations that I receive , notably MTV, Viva, GoTv and Ö3. Damn theses stations only play the biggest crap around. MTV of course is leading the way, with not only airing shitty music but also dumb shows like “Date My Mom”, “Flavour of Love” and other brainless entertainment that’s not even funny. I used to love MTV back in the early 90s when hosts like the great Ray Cokes still were on air. I could look past boring shows like the aforementioned ones, if the music that was played in between were any good…but it ain’t. One I tuned in on these stations and all three of them were playing the exact same song (don’t remember exactly, but I guess it was some JustinTimberlake stuff). C’mon, how big are the chances that three TV-stations, with millions of songs to choose from, play the same song at the same time. Why isn’t there any place for quality music any more? It’s always some easy to listen to, catchy pop tune. Don’t get me wrong, there are some really great pop songs out there, but music like Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue and probably every Hip Hop tune sounds exactly the same. Of course, music should be something that shouldn’t be too hard to listen to, but it wouldn’t hurt if music was a little challenging from time to time.
And to those people who say, that if I don’t like the shit I don’t have to watch it…I don’t, those bloody music television and radio stations are officially banned from my sets.
